Dr. Bola Are is a Nigerian gospel singer and former President of the Gospel Musicians Association of Nigeria. She was born on October 1, 1954, in Erio, Ekiti State, Nigeria to the family of Elder Babayomi and Mrs. T. A. Babayomi.
Bola Are started singing at the age of two and knew she would serve the Lord at a very young age. She got married in 1977 to the late Pastor J.O Are and they were blessed with children who are also singers and musicians.
In 1990, she founded the School of Gospel Music International to give gospel musicians a platform that would lead them in the way of the Lord. She also founded the Bola Are Gospel Foundation International in 1995, aimed at catering to the needs of the less privileged in Nigeria
Dr. Bola Are was trained by four major Christ Apostolic Church prophets, including Apostle Ayodele Babalola and Prophet Babajide.
She has been around for over six decades and is one of the pioneers of gospel music in Nigeria. Yesterday, 1st October, Dr. Bola Are clocked 69years on this planet earth. We wish her a long life with more accomplishments.
